Intro:

It’s a beautiful sunny day in Southern California. I decide to leave work to grab a quick lunch. So I’m cruising down the street, windows down, house music playing, enjoying the day. As Im driving I see two women standing outside their car on the side of the road. One of them is waving at cars as they pass by but no one is stopping. I look over and see they have a flat tire. I go another hundred yards and think to myself “I should be a Good Samaritan and see if they need help” so I whip a u-turn. I genuinely wanted to help and didn’t do this with a motive or expectations.

Approach:

Mentally I’m exhausted. I went out last night and only got two hours of sleep before work. But I’m a trooper so I find my charisma and take action. I pull up next to their car, crack half a smile and ask if they need help. They enthusiastically say yes and explain they don’t know what happened to their tire. I tell them not to worry, it’s a quick fix. I park my truck behind their car. I notice one of the women was exceptionally pretty. Short, brunette, Latina, light accent. Her friend was similar but the main girl caught my attention. (99% of convo is with her)

I walk up and inspect the tire. I tell them it’s clearly popped and ask if they know where the spare tire is. They have no idea so I tell her to pop the trunk and I’ll find it. As I look, she thanks me again for helping and says she hopes she’s not interfering with my day. I tell her I’m just taking a break to get lunch and she apologizes saying she hopes she doesn’t make me late for work. I use this opportunity to drop in DHV and say “it’s cool. Perks of being the boss is I get to take breaks anytime I want.” She asks me about my job and I tell her what I do and that I’m working around the corner.

She tells me she works in the fashion industry and I say “I can tell” she blushes and says “I’m not even wearing anything nice! I’m just running errands today” I look her up and down then holding eye contact I reply “well I like it” she smiles and says thank you.

We continue small talk as I change her tire. I look up and see a snake tattoo on her forearm. I tell her she has great tattoos. She holds her arm out and tells me she loves her tattoo and wants more. I stand up, grab her wrist with my right hand to turn her forearm over, and use my left hand to trace my finger up her forearm across the snake. I say “I like it, it fits you well” then I show her the snake tattoo on my arm. She’s happily surprised. She reaches out for my arm to get a closer look and starts talking to her friend in Spanish.

They’re both smiling then she looks over to me and asks “can you speak Spanish?” I laugh and say with a smirk “only the words that get me in trouble” she laughs and smiles back at me. I tell her I’ve picked up most of what I know from friends and the girls I date. She asks about my experience dating latinas so I tell her a few stories and what I like. She’s increasingly happy after hearing this.

I finish changing her tire and tell her she’s ready to go. She opens her purse to pay me but I deny it. She says “well let me at least buy you lunch” I say “you don’t have to do all that, I just wanted to help” she says “noooo. Let me get your number!” Extending her phone to me with the contacts opened. I jokingly tell her “fineee I guess I’ll let you take me out” then type in my number. She’s asks me my name and I get hers and she said it was really nice to meet me. She thanks me and says I made her day. I tell her “no problem, I hope your day keeps getting better” and walk back to my truck.

She texted me a few hours later “Hi (my name)! thank you so much for the help with the tire☺️”

I’ll respond soon while emotions are high. I have plans all weekend so I’ll set something up for next week.

What I learned:

In the past I’ve avoided flirting/game with women when I’m not 100%. Today I was exhausted, wearing works clothes but still succeeded. This was a confidence boost and a reminder that I don’t need to be at my very best to be successful with women.

It also reminded me that any situation can turn into an opportunity. Always have the right mindset and be ready to turn on the charm when you least expect it.
