Im brand new to PUA, been reading a lot of books, reading Seddit, watching YouTube videos and Keys to the VIP. Been trying to practice on my own but I get super nervous when I get to the bar and end up being the creepy guy at the bar. I noticed I do MUCH better in overcoming AA when I go with friends, but it's difficult to find people consistantly "sarge" with. So I decided to join a lair. Yea, "lair" is super creepy, but theyre free and you dont lose anything.

So the initiation was 5 approaches. Not sets, could ask for the time. Just a way to avoid recruiting keyboard jockeys. These were all walkbys outside a nice bar:

1 & 2: "Hey, does this shirt make me look gay? Cause I totally just got hit on by a dude!" First girl hb8 smiled and reassured me absolutely not. Kept good eye contact, shook her hand, said have a good night. Second group of two girls gave a FUCK OFF look, shouted something as they hurried off. DGAF.

3 & 4: "Hey, can you tell me where The Scottish Pub is at?" First girl had no idea. Second girl stopped and gave me directions, and we made small talk about the bar for a minute.

5: "Hey, my name is madog20x, can I have your number?" Short story shorter, didn't get the number.

Stayed and talked to the guy testing me for a few minutes to ask about the lair. He gave me feedback about my approaches, the lair, resources. What did I learn? Honestly, not much from the approaches, but I havent done them in a while and it felt great to man up. That and I highly recommend walkby approaches for overcoming AA. If you approach in a bar, eyes are on you, but talking to girls walking in or out of a bar or bookstore is a step above handing out flyers and way less intimidating. The Simple PUA guys do these to death.

What are your guys feelings on lairs? Seems like a great way to meet like minded individuals. Any personal experiences with lairs would be awesome. Please dont post about how creepy the term lair is, EVERYONE knows this.
