As i was sitting at the cafeteria by myself eating lunch and i saw this girl sitting on her own on her phone eating, i thought she was really pretty. i wanted to approach but i had some major approach anxiety because i had never done it before, i was thinking to myself she probably doesnt want to be bothered, its not worth wasting my time for nothing.

then i thought to myself, fuck it. so what if it 'wastes' my time, if im going to fail. im going to fail and know it not go home and wish i had spoken to this girl.

so i got up and walked over to her and asked her 'hey is this seat taken?' she said no so i sat down and told her i think she looks really pretty, she said 'awwh thankyou' with this huge smile on her face (the smile that someone makes when you make their day) but holy shit was i nervous after that. we went on and chatted about general stuff and i found out that it was her first week here (it was my second week so i could relate to her and that helped cool my nerves slightly and make more conversation)

i was so nervous i let the conversation fade off and i never got her number (i even forgot her name!), but i to be honest i didnt care. i was just happy that i made my first ever approach to someone that i had no common ground with aside from university. for the rest of that day i felt fucking amazing, i had never felt like this before. but i can tell you that i will definitely be doing it again!

sorry if this is poorly written ive never made a FR before
