Walking back to my office on campus I opened a random hot girl I saw walking by. I noticed extended eye contact so I figured I might as well go for it. I really just wanted to get back so I just quickly number closed her after inviting her out for coffee tomorrow and left. I sent her a text to set up the date and several hours later got this as a response:

"Hey Matt. Sorry for the late response. I am so flattered by your approach today. I can't say that I've met someone so unabashedly confident. Unfortunately, you caught me quite off guard today and I couldn't quite articulate that the timing isn't great for me. I'm sorry for making it seem otherwise."
