I've decided on direct opening because indirect opening (on solo sets, during day game) was stopping me from setting a sexual frame and showing intent. She knows now, I want her. This isn't the most direct opener, but it's better than asking what the time is or where the nearest Starbucks is.

I ask her name. Shake her hand. Let it linger to build comfort with kino and a little bit of sexual tension. What brings her to the mall? A job interview. Instead of asking where, I just start guessing. "The bank, no, you don't look serious enough." Etc. I know which way she is heading because I stopped her walking that way, so I put my arm around her and start pointing to various stores to guess where her interview is. I don't care about the answer, I just want to touch her ASAP, and as much as possible. Turns out it is a toy store nearby.

She's running out of time, she got out her phone to check the time. I notice this so I realise I have to be quick or she'll start walking off. I get out my phone too. "We should hang out some time, you seem fun. How can we make that happen?"

She's still looking at her phone, hasn't even responded. "Here, put your number in my phone." I put it right in her face, add contacts page open.

She resists. "No, we just met".

I look her in the eyes. "I'm not going to give up that easy." Hold eye contact. "Put your number in my phone".

Her: "No, I can't".

Me: With more eye contact and I step in close. Third times a charm. "You know you want to".

Her: "I have to go."

Me: Internally - FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

Me: "It was really nice meeting you, best of luck". I go back to my sarging spot at the cross roads. Don't stop reading yet. We aren't finished.

Time goes by.

20 minutes later I see her, she snuck up on me and is standing 5m away. No apparent reason. PROXIMITY ALERT - MASSIVE IOI. The only reason for her to stand there is so that I notice and come over again. So I do.

"How was your job interview?" and more general chit-chat as we walk towards the opposite end of the mall. I walk very close to her, brushing arms constantly.

I stop her, say "You know what's coming next right?" I step in nice and close, "Put your number in my phone".

She agrees but says "When you call I might not answer."

I dial her so she has my number, she adds me to contacts. I said "I'll call you, and you'll answer because you'll have the same smile on your face that you have right now."

I give her a hug and say I'll see her soon and exit.

I'm trying to focus on closing, not opening. During the encounter she told me she wasn't doing anything else for the rest of the day. I'm still kicking myself for not doing an instant date.

TL;DR - Didn't get the number close. Proximity alert, why is she standing 5m away from me in a giant mall with better spots to stand, even though she just rejected me 20 minutes ago? Open her again, number close.
