My guess is you overdid the cocky/funny and she had buyer's remorse when she realized she didn't really know much about you.

After a certain point, you need to really focus on building some meaningful rapport or else you'll end up exactly like you did.

We shared a couple kisses and then I pulled away saying I had to run but she should give me her number and if she was lucky, we'd continue where we left off some other time.

Just things like that... In the moment it's cocky and attractive, but you blew an opportunity to make a moment with the girl.

We exchanged a couple texts and I joked around saying I didnt remember much from the night but I did recall her being pretty cute.

Likewise, you blew an opportunity to "bring her back to the moment." (Check out David Wygant for some excellent advice on how this is done.)

She realized she doesn't know much about you and that, in retrospect, it was merely a sloppy makeout session. She doesn't want to feel like a whore so she is hesitant to follow up.

She gave you a hint when she told you "I know drunk people say this all the time.....

I am all for the long game but I know that at times a girl decides that she's going to get laid that night, and she's going to, with the first best available. You had your chance, you said so yourself She tried hooking up... and... she then had to settle for someone else.

Now in a way you were witness to her drunken state when she had a ONS, she's too embarrassed.

I know it doesn't make any sense to us guys, but... at times that's how women think.

Just an hypotesis.

Sounds like you may be over relying on texts in addition to what has already been pointed out as very long waits between contact. Texts are not very emotional, you didn't text her into wanting to fuck you at a party, so why would you think you could text her into fucking you outside the heat of the moment?

Also this sounds like a case of "fool's mate" iirc.

Just from the whole hindsight being 20/20 thing I would say Sunday was your window to get some face time to either close or solidify things a bit to survive the week. So if you buy the whole "7-10hrs lays the groundwork to fucking" theory you needed to have most of that in BEFORE the weekend plans you were shooting for.

To me it seems like a food play would have been a playful meetup on Sunday in which at some point you confide that you were a bit worried about what YOU did while drunk and wanted to make sure it wasn't the beer making her seem cool to you. Defusing the " I know drunk people say this..." thing she had thrown out by YOU being in that position. So you grasp that momentum of attraction by you pulling back a bit so she needs to prove that she isn't some chick you almost made a mistake with.

Like I said, it's all hindsight and I might have misread it, but there you go.

From this point (if it were me) my hail Mary would be a phone call with an offer to do something at an odd time of the weekend like the morning or lunch (you already made plans since you didn't hear from her) that amounts to a laughing "Things got crazy at that party! But we seemed to hit it off so let's waste a few off hours seeing each other in the light of day" event.

Again, random Internet advice but it seems like your only chance is to share in the near-hookup weirdness with her ("I know you aren't that type of girl because I'm not that type of guy and I was caught up too") and transition that into a more standard progression.

Everyone else is saying you waited too long, which I agree with, but I also think your actual message was a poor choice of words. I make it a personal rule to never just say things like "hey" or "whatsup" in texts without saying anything else. It makes it seem like you are bored and not doing anything and that's why you are texting. As a general rule, only boring people get bored. Next time I'd suggest just saying something like "Hey, I'm doing x tonight/tomorrow/some day, you should come with me."
