Hey seddit, I think this FR is going to be less about picking up girls but rather about how do deal with problems and getting social proof ... resulting in becoming the life of the party.

So. Last night I went out with friends and we were actually totally over the top ... a good starting point for getting in trouble.

We went to this club and when we tried to enter the club the bouncers filtered one of us out saying he couldn't enter. Not a good way to start. We talked a bit to the bouncers we were friendly, I touched them lightly on the back which really works for building trust and obviously we kept together. Always be friendly. It solves so many problems. And in the end we all entered the club.

The club was very loud ones, so conversation was practically impossible. I was approaching people with high fives, sign language and light touches on the shoulder. It worked quite good (like always) and after some time I was appreciated by lots of groups around the dancefloor. Especially the mosh pit worked quite good, as always guys in the pit are automatically friends. A really smart thing to do is to keep track of the girls at its borders and protect them from too much pushing, many of those girls started to feel comfortable and joined the mosh. Always be respectful. Sometimes you start to dance with a girl and her boyfriend walks up. I just high fived him and joked around, which completely destroyed any negative concerns and of course I stopped hitting on the girl. There were a lot of girls I invited to dance and most of them friendly rejected me. Don't let you get down by the rejection. Respect it, smile, move on or try again a few minutes later don't be too pushy. All of the girls that rejected me that night remained friendly towards me and greeted me again when I walked by. Which is great for building social proof.

At some point the security ended the mosh pit. A bouncer cleanly tackled me to the ground. No problem with that. But when the pit ended I somehow found myself closest to the middle of what happened and the Bouncer was starting a staring contest with me.... I didn't back down and at some point the bouncer nodded up like telling me "Want some more?" ... guys I can't stress this enough be friendly! My response was nodding back at him smiling, like saying "I like you, we are all friends here." That worked wonders, the Bouncer backed of and I actually won this contest in a friendly and nice way. Not to mention that everyone around saw this: even more social proof.

Later then people started climbing up the stage, Of course I went up there too. It is really fun to animate the people on the floor and pulling your friends up there too. But I went even further to the backstage interacting with the DJs, that is like the highest social proof you can get in the club. Then, when the Bouncers cleared the stage from all the people, guess which bouncer let me stay up there with a few other people..... I probably could have went out through the backdoor together with the DJs at this point.

But I got back with my friends. At this point it was really interesting to see how girls that blew me out before were suddenly interested in me again. And other people that I didn't talk to before were randomly striking up conversations with me.

What I need to work on are my escalating and kino skills, all those blow-outs for dancing came from not having mastered that. The girls certainly were intrigued by me and my social status helped me with that but a soon as I try to escalate I think I start to seem uncertain and less confident and that destroys it. I need to get over that plateau.

But my social proofing skills are quite solid now and I hope it helps someone a little to read this.

P.s. And to top it all of a girl that I had already written off called me that night.
