First FR so I apologize if it’s not up to snuff; if you point something lacking I’ll correct it if I can.

Background

HB8 that I have been in college with for 1.5 years now, for most of our first year she was dating a semi friend of mine We got to be pretty good friends, realizing a lot of our interests overlapped. Most notably we had a lot of the same favorite movies and TV shows. Long story short I have a copy of Dr. Horrible’s Sing-A-Long Blog, a mutual favorite, and she wanted a copy. Between semesters I made her a copy of the DVD, and she became single.

Friday

I facebooked her and told her that I had her copy of the the DVD and that she should text me on Friday night so we can hang out, not the ideal solution, but it was what the situation dictated for me. She ended up texting me after I had been drinking with some other friends wondering what I was up to. Told the truth, I was playing madden and drinking; told her to come and join us. She was like, cool, I’ll be there in 20. We ended up chilling with my friends, a mixed set of which I was the AMOG. And about 1 hour in, I ended up isolating to my room where I put on said DVD. We both knew the songs to it pretty well and after 1 song I suggested that we sing along. After one song I had built up a fair amount of kino, and with my luck, I had built up enough rapport to where we were looking each other in the eyes when one of the semi-romantic songs came up in the movie and I went for the kiss. 30 minutes later due to circumstances beyond my control we ended up having to split, walked her home making out while I was walking her home.

Saturday

Hung out again Saturday night; ended up just watching TV shows and drinking some more. She was still shooting me lots of IOIs but they weren’t as strong as the previous night. We ended up having a lot of good conversations about stuff she was rather passionate about, something that I’m hoping is laying groundwork for this coming weekend. Even though I didn’t get the same passionate k-close we had even better kino, a lot of push/pull and hand play.

Sunday Morning

We ended up going out to breakfast in the morning and continuing our conversation about her passions from the previous night. She also mentioned some stuff that she wanted to do in the near future, museums and such, something that I plan to capitalize on. I ended up going rather beta during the meal, I was a bit hungover and I was way too focused on the upcoming Packer/Bears game (Go Pack Go). I ended up not getting a k-close there, damn my beta self, but she definitely opened up to me; for what that is worth.

Lessons Learned

Distractions make it possible to slip back into AFC mode without realizing it. The event also made me realize how eye contact at the right time can immediately intensify the situation. I also think I was a bit too eager with not the right amount of escalation, leading to a stagnation of the relationship. I’m planning on freezing her out till Wednesday morning, and then hitting her up to go to the museum like she was talking about. Advice/reactions are much appreciated.
