Hey seddit. Today I had a date scheduled around 5:30, but I was on the side of town that I was meeting the girl on earlier in the day so I had some time to kill. At around 4:30 I decided to hit the local mall. Not the best place to pick up women, but there always seem to be women there. So, anyway, I walk around and since I'm not exactly used to having the goal of approaching women when I'm out by myself, so it took me a couple of minutes to push away the bitch butterflies. I walked past a Forever 21 and saw a beautiful girl looking at clothes. I went inside and right up to her. My game is generally direct, but I think direct game is most effective during the day, because I'm under the impression that the majority of women are not used to being approached directly in daylight. So I say hello and ask the girl's name. I say "Listen I saw you from outside, thought you were cute, and knew I wouldn't forgive myself for not hitting on you." She smiles and says "Oh thank you!" I tell her that I'm in a hurry and ask if she's single. This usually gives girls a chance to cop out while being polite, so I can typically take it as a sign of interest if they say they are single. She says yes, so I say "Great, let me get your number and we'll hangout some time." She puts her number in my phone

I walk out of the store and I still have time to kill. I approach a woman as she's walking pretty fast in the opposite direction of me. I catch her off guard a little bit, shake her hand and introduce myself. I say "I thought you were cute, so I wanted to hit on you." She seems a little flustered and says "Oh well, thank you. I actually just got off break, so..." I didn't know what this meant, and for a second her body language seemed to indicate that she wanted to walk off, but I guess she changed her mind because she said "So are you from (my current location)?" We chat a little bit and she seems interested, she's keeping the conversation going and I ask if she's single. She says she is and so I say "let me get your number." She looks at me, smiles and says "Ok, how old are you?" Why do I always manage to fuck this question up, seddit? I tell her that I'm 19 and her facial expression clearly changes. She breaks eye contact and says "Oh my God. I think you're too young." I tell her it doesn't matter. She says "You don't understand, you're the same age as my BABY brother." I tell her that her brother is a grown man now. She looks at me and says "I'm old. I'm 27." I am still trying to recover. I'm keeping eye contact and smiling. I say "So? I'm not flinching am I?" But she was final in her decision and said, "Yeah, but I think you're too young for me." She thanked me for... the attention I suppose? And I said goodbye. Too bad. She was hot.

The final approach comes equipped with an important warning for sedditors who are younger adults like myself. When you see a girl that looks like she's around your age, she isn't necessarily going to be. I am walking behind a girl when I notice she has a nice body. I walk adjacent to her and glance at her face. She looks cute so I say hello and use the same line I used on the previous girl. She says "Thank you, but I'm probably too young for you." I ask how old she is. 16. I told her to have a nice day and noped the fuck out of there. It was about time for my date anyway.
