Last night I went out to Seoul on a whim. I knew my city would be dead, so I went where I knew the opportunities would be best. My best friend came with me and we met another good friend of mine in the hot college party area around 9:30 PM. Here's how it all went down.

Venue 1

We went to a pretty admittedly shitty bar first purposefully. There were no people, and it was a Korean establishment, so it was more of a sit down at tables and drink environment, rather than an open, meet new people kind of environment. The only redeeming factor was $2 bottles of beer, so we went there for a little pre-game drinking. We sat and talked for around two hours, about everything from movies, music, crazy co-workers and bad hook-ups. It was a lot of fun and got me in the right state of mind. Lesson: Being in the right state of mind for the night has a huge impact on how it will go. More than being concerned with hooking up, focus on simply having a good time. Hooking up doesn't define having a good night. Sometimes bro-ing out is even better.

Venue 2

We left a little before midnight and went to a grungy dive bar that usually has good music. Unfortunately, the crowd just wasn't there last night. We bought a beer, but ended up walking out of the bar with them to the park nearby. Lesson: Don't waste time at places with few opportunities. Sure, something could have happened with one of the two girls at the bar, but the ratio was awful, and it wasn't the proper environment. Standing around doing nothing would've brought me down and ruined my state of mind.

We walked to a nearby park and ran into an Afghani dude who goes to university in our city. He's a real firecracker kind of guy. He's super aggressive when it comes to women, which sometimes works for him, but usually results in him scaring women away... Into our comforting arms. Either way, he's fucking hysterical to hang out with. We bro'd out a bit, then got some street food. While we were eating I opened a mixed set. Negged the girl a bit about being from Georgia, complimented the dude on being dressed sharp as fuck. Kept it light and playful to maintain my good vibes while my friends ate. Lesson: When you're in state, it's going to rub off on other people. Everybody loves being around the guy who's just "in the zone" and it makes approaching easy as hell.

Venue 4

We went to a club that was packed, but after a lap around the bar, it was painfully obvious that the ratio was fucked to hell and back. It was probably at least a 7:3 ratio of men to women. Once again, we had a beer and bounced. Lesson: Once again, don't waste time where opportunities are limited. There's always another place you can go. You don't need to wait around hoping for the situation to improve. If women aren't at the bar, then they must be somewhere else.

We finally went to one of my favorite bars. They play awesome music, and there's usually an even ratio of men to women, so it's a decent environment for gaming. Pretty quickly after arriving, I see two girls sitting at a table on the edge of the dance floor. One girl was a very cute Korean HB7, and the other was her chubby babysitter. I bummed a cigarette off my buddy and approached them. If you are ever in a hard spot figuring out how to approach a girl, use cigarettes. It's the most natural and easy way to just talk to a stranger in any situation. I don't even fucking smoke, but it works. They didn't smoke, so I used a dude's next to me and kept talking to them. I negged the cute girl about not dancing, then followed with a compliment about her earrings. Lesson: Compliments about a girl's clothes or accessories will seem much more genuine and more deeply appreciated than ones about her body. I put my arm around the babysitter and danced with her. Got the cute friend smiling and maintained eye contact with her while I danced with her friend. Lesson: Don't neglect the friends. Have fun with them and they're your ticket to the target.

I left for a moment to go to the bathroom, and when I got back, the bar was so packed that making my way over to where they were would've been a hassle, so I just decided to enjoy the music and dance by myself for awhile. Lesson: Abundance mentality. If a set doesn't work out, there's always more girls, or even better, your own awesome company. Not five minutes later, a girl comes up to me, pulls me into herself, and starts dancing with me. I roll with it and just start dancing with her, and I am not afraid to escalate. Earlier in my life, I wouldn't have had the confidence to do this. After losing a lot of weight, reading about the game, and getting some experience under my belt, I felt completely at home and didn't hesitate at all. After a couple minutes dancing with my hand around her waist or on her ass, I slid my left hand up the back of her neck, grabbed her hair by the roots and pulled her in for a kiss. Up until that point we hadn't said a word to each other. Lesson: Confidence comes with experience. This wouldn't have ever happened a year and a half ago. It doesn't take years of clubbing 5/7 nights like Tyler preaches. Honestly, even one hook up will help you a huge amount the next time you're in the situation again.

We danced for maybe 10-15 minutes and I pulled her in to me to ask if she wanted to leave. She hesitated, but I didn't hear exactly what she said. She seemed to be concerned about her friend who had a boyfriend dancing with some guy. I suggested a drink and she bought it for me, but more importantly, it allowed me to move her away from her friend and isolate her. The less she worries about her friend cheating, the more likely she is to leave. Lesson: Just because a girl goes out with her friends doesn't make it impossible for you to get her to leave on her own. Don't be afraid to approach girls in pairs or groups. Waiting around for a girl by herself at the bar is a waste of time.

We danced and made out some more. She bought me a second drink. We didn't talk very much. After another 20 minutes or so, I asked her if she wanted to leave a second time, and she was very willing to go. Lesson: Many times "no" doesn't mean "no", it just means "not right now". I obviously don't condone doing anything that crosses the line as far as what a girl is comfortable with, but when she starts using words like "can't" or "shouldn't", it's just an excuse. Keep gaming and go back to it again later. I gave my friend the locker key, asked him to take care of my coat for me, and that was pretty much murder she wrote.

The last thing of note, as we walked to her place after a taxi ride, we had to walk through a subway station. It was brightly lit, but it's a quiet area, so at 4 AM nobody was in the station. We were walking down a long hallway, and I swear, I pulled one of the smoothest goddamn moves I've ever spontaneously come up with. I just said, "Man, this hallway is pretty long. You know what long hallways are good for?" and immediately pressed her up against the wall and initiated a make out. When we finished, she just laughed and said "That was a good one." Feel free to use it.
