I'm assuming by your edits at the bottom that you didn't get any #-close's? Sounds like a success though regardless.

I didn't get any number closes, in the intent of dating. I regret it a bit, but my reasoning then was that the whole idea of this is to get matched annonymously, so I'll just wait and see how that goes - but I should have closed atleast one woman, and I really felt it would went through, we really clicked. I got a phone number though, but it's more of a friend thing, atleast it was framed as such, since we go to the same concert we might as well get drunk before and after - we will see how it goes.
Right, about the shit tests, I'm not sure I diffused them, that's really only known for the girl, but I have seen them, and did my best to intercept them. Nothing fancy, agree and amplify was the rule I followed. One example was the line "I think you say that to all the women" to which I replied "You are wrong darling, I only say that to the interesting women!" I have read this somewhere in here, so credit is due to the original person. I was told that I'm lying, there is no way I have not done this before, and that I probably ask loads of women out, to which I replied that how did she know? I just came out from a date, to pop in for a quick speed dating, but can we hurry up a bit, I got another date waiting. She found that amusing. Seriously the whole thing happened so fast, and all conversation really blended together, but if you are interested I can try and recall few more examples.
But yeah, the night was a total success for me and I feel it moved me by a lot forwards. Like i said the most important thing from the night was the feeling of no anxiety and that chating loads of girls up is easy and fun. Now I got reference to how I should feel in the field and get into that frame, as it's something I have gained a lot of experience in.

Awesome FR! I've always been curious about speed dating, and after reading this I'm going to look for one and give it a shot!
I would definitely like to see some follow up once you hear back. Since you tried different things with different women I'm very interested to hear about what worked and what didn't - granted what didn't work for one lady might have really appealed to another, I am really looking forward to hearing more.

Sure, I have filled in the whole form. So far out of 5 women 2 want to be friends. I wonder will any woman actually say they want to date straight away, I do not believe so though. Those 2 women that want to be friends are the strippers, funny enough. I was thinking how should I go with voting on them, and at the end I gambled and went that I want to date one that I liked the most, and friends with others two. I think it would be a better choice to mark all as friends though, but since I'm not very experienced I decided to go direct and hoped I made good enough impression that this won't be an issue. Someone said to always state intentions straight, don't know how much this applies to this situation, but fuck it, it's all about making mistakes, trying new things and learning from those right?:) This time I'll try direct, and open, next time I'll treat group sets equal until I got attraction well build. I'll let you know if anything actually develops from this, but since it's the weekend they are probably the busiest in the week now, so I'll try contacting them on Sunday, maybe some short message tomorrow.

Got invited to a speed dating event, came here to see if there's anything fun to read on the topic, found your FR, and liked it! Shame you got so little comments, because it's a great read.
I'm gonna try to do the same I think, just open as many of them as possible before the event, and shoot random questions to avoid the 'job interview' stuff.
Good times, good times. You call yourself a newb, but you're obviously fast on the way to be getting girls all the time, and having fun while doing it. Don't abuse those soon-to-be-yours powers! ;)
Just curious: any follow up dates, and how did they work out? Out of alllllll those girls, and it's been a month now, have you actually kissed/slept with one by now by any chance?

As for the 'issue' you have: the solution is simply to go for women of, say, 20-25 years. They are not looking for babies, are generally more adventurous and looking for a fun time, have less 'bagage', and, well, as a bonus they tend to be prettier :) Of course, to each his own 'target demographic' I guess, after all I don't know how old you are.
You sound like a seriously cool and sincere guy by the way - pretty easy to imagine the ladies loving you.
My speed dating event is in 2 weeks or something like that, I'll do my best to write a report as nice as yours! I've been involved with one (wonderful) girl the last weeks/months and even apart from that my dating life has been a bit 'on hold' this period, but it'll still be some great fun I guess, especially since I now really fit your 'dont go in there hoping for more' mindset. I usually can't be bothered to write a long FR though.
