Cold approaching is alot like cold calling, you'll get a few hits and lots of misses. Girls need some emotional connection, even if it's small they do, and it's very difficult to do in a 5 minute set.

Don't ask for the number ask for the meetup. Try to be as low key as possible and just listen to her talk. People have a weird quirk where they think they know and connect best with the person who knows them best.

I feel that "connection" is the key too. I'm going to make the following adjustments:

Add a "theme" to the first meetup. i.e. establish a common interest with the girl. e.g. Arabic culture. Invite her to a shisha bar. take the focus off the date, you're just 2 guys with a mutual interest.
Invite her to join you and your mates. This takes more pressure off the date, she can check you out. Your mates social proof you. You've extended the 5min set buy several hours. Danger is you could friend zone yourself, so I think calibrated kino is important.

Any other ideas?
