Its one of the growing pains of getting good at this thing. If you come from a more introverted background, there always seems to be a period of struggle involved where you get better. Remember this: you are going to miss THOUSANDS of such opportunities. There will be times when you obviously blow out. The important thing is to recognize the missed opportunity and move on.

As to how to handle sleepless nights; get a hot chocolate :). Seriously, you need to find what works for you. Be creative...maybe read a boring book, exercise, or run a little? There is no right way...but there will be a right way for YOU.

There is no looking back. There is only the future to look ahead to. My mind goes dark some evenings thinking about the past and I hate it. But the past is history. The future is way more exciting.

I know what you're talking about, but it happens rarely. Is it keeping you from getting a good night's sleep? When it happens to me now I usually just laugh to myself because I find it funny. Maybe try re-framing those memories into funny situations. If you think about, it's not that big of a deal. Everyone has missed opportunities.
