I've been doing cold approach for the past months, starting from a complete noob until now having a better level where recently I've been able to get consistent numbers and dates. I've never had issues talking with women but all my previous girlfriends have been from social circles so I wanted to have the ability to meet any women I would like.

I started in October of last year and for 2 months I did 25 cold approaches, out of this I got 3 numbers (I asked for it only to 10), 2 first dates and 1 hook up out of these 2 dates. I know it's not a crazy volume but that's what I managed to do.

As I was busy and as I wasn't getting that many numbers I stopped for 3 months and got back to it in March. Recently I've done only 9 approaches, asked for 7 numbers and got all 7 numbers and got 3 first dates out of these numbers, 1 hookup and maybe another one as I'm still seeing one of those girls .

I know what I've done is not a huge volume but I've seen a lot of improvement especially since I changed my mindset from not trying to get a number to just trying to connect and see if she has what I'm looking for so that's why recently I've done just these few approaches as I'm not looking for quantity but quality.

My question for the most experienced ones is, assuming you close with the purpose of having a date (which is what I do, not just asking randomly the number) what contact details do you usually take? Instagram or WhatsApp? Why?

I prefer asking whatsapp as I don't want to be just another follower but not all of the girls reply to my message so idk if I'm shooting myself in the foot as whatsapp may be too invasive.

Also, what are your usual metrics? Out of 10 quality approaches how many numbers should I expect? And how many dates? Idk if I'm doing good or if I need to improve more.
