Going to bars, clubs, etc during the week rather than weekends, does it usually still work out?

The simple fix is logistics. Tons of people go out during the week especially those from out of town, who have shift work, nurses and a whole lot of other occupations.

Every city has a hub for nightlife even during the week so if your downtown during the weekend there are some places in that same area that a booming during the week
Look for events like live bands, amateur night, spoken word, comedy and so on. Lots of places use these to fill the seats during the week
If you want to be more social try pool, poker, fantasy anything, trivia, and so on. You can typically join a league which will rotate venues through the week and allows you to meet more people.

Hope this helps. There are plenty of women out during the weeknights you just have to do a little work to find them,

Weeknights are for hobbies. It’s boring going to bars more than once or twice a week I think. Probably a better way to meet peopke anyways.
