Some thoughts for people who got rejected, if it helps:

If you confess to someone, and they say something like "oh you're such a bro" or "jee, thanks" plus some disgusting emoji, don't just take that shit.

First of all, you had the balls to try. Don't feel bad, you went in there and took the risk. That's something to be proud of, so don't feel awkward.

So keep being a strong person, be the adult, and answer something like "I think what you're trying to say is you don't feel the same way, and I understand that, no hard feelings", or whatever. Not only does give you more closure, but they'll see you as the grown person you are, and might start to think differently about who they're talking to.

Congratz for trying. Really. Now move on, you'll find the right one later, just keep looking.
