For a while now I've noticed that I'm unsure on how I should be greeting men and women physically in a social situation. I figure this is a rather fundamental point and would be interested in what others do. Do you go for a handshake with both men and women? Or just men? A kiss on a cheek for a woman? Double kiss?

I found more often than not I just play it safe and don't do anything.
