I find myself occasionally wanting to ask people how they (or others) perceive me in the realm of attractiveness/dating... but I always hesitate because I feel I'll come off as weird, desperate, or rude, or that feedback will be dishonest/censored. Has anyone had luck getting honest feedback about themselves from others (specifically women)? If so, how? Did it help you? Any advice for how to go about it?

It's a mixture of curiosity and confusion that drives this. Everyone wants to know how they're perceived from the outside, sometimes.
