If the girl can drive you'll be fine. I used to use that as an excuse to ask a girl out saying something like I don't have a car and if they'd be willing to drive me to a restaurant or something and that I'd make sure to pay them for food as well if they want.

Learn, I’m 16 and get my license and car in a week. And no I’m not a rich little brat I saved up for it working at a grocery store, lol. But it’s seriously important.
