I'm not that terrible at conversing. In fact, I can make friends pretty easily. I can even make friends with girls pretty easily. The problem is, is that I can usually only make friends with girls IF they have boyfriends. And this happens to me a lot.

I'm usually relieved if I'm talking to a girl and she drops something about her having a boyfriend. I usually on the inside sigh in relief because that means I can drop this sexually fueled feelings and awkwardness, and just talk and be myself. On the other hand, I become disappointed because I'm like, well fuck, there goes another girl. It's just when I meet a girl, and I think she's pretty cool and that I may have a chance, that I really freeze up and start to act weird and get a whole bunch of anxiety. I usually feel like, "Shit. I really like her. Better not fuck this up." And then I'm just really awkward and weird. I start staring off into space to avoid eye contact, ect...

What can I do about this? I want to show interest that I'm interested in her, but at the same time I don't want to be paralyzed by my anxiety. Anything I could practice to set this straight? I feel like I usually show that I'm being weird by my eyes. I tend not to look at them, look away and just stare off into space just constantly thinking about how I'm pissing away this moment to do something. Whenever I feel that there could be something sexually (even though it's not reciprocated, just a possibility) I start acting super weird and creepy.
