Establish your life first at that school before worrying about girls. Although there is nothing wrong with being a lone soldier, a guy that has a lot going on at a school is more desirable. Makes some guy friends at that school. See where they usually go out. Join them. Have a good time. Act like you belong. Immersing yourself into the college lifestyle will give you the most opportunities.

Probably the worst place to meet girls is at bars or clubs. Most of them are there with friends anyway so they won't pay attention to you. Focus on your own life. Fill your schedule with studying, friends, clubs and other commitments. Literally stuff you can put on your resume and whatever keeps you healthy. And just work your butt of doing that. And along the way you will meet lots of guys and girls you can be friends with. People like drive and dedication and stay away from desperation. You'll have plenty of stuff to talk about and you'll meet people with a similar mindset. Get good at being friends with anyone and everyone, and then I bet you'll have no problems meeting or talking to girls.
