I’ve never seen them mentioned on here. After traveling through Central America for the last month, I think they are hands down one of the best places to meet women. My success rate multiplied tenfold from my pursuits back in the U.S.
Not only are they cheap, hostels are are built to encourage social interactions between other backpackers. Here’s a few reasons why:
-There are common hangout areas where it’s easy to talk to everyone staying.
-Plenty of women are traveling solo, and even when they aren’t, small groups of friends are still open to engaging in the larger, nightlife group activities.
-Many hostels organize large drinking/party bar crawls and the like.
-Being from a different country automatically makes you more attractive. I met many Dutch, German, Australian, British and Canadian girls, as well as locals and girls from the U.S. An agreeable accent makes someone hotter—this works both ways.
-Almost everyone speaks English. I found it very hard to flirt with locals with my limited Spanish, but Europeans all speak English well.
-Hostels have connections for all the excursions in the area. It’s very easy to build rapport with a woman during the day, while hiking a volcano, for example, and then grabbing a drink later. Almost all hosted have bars inside of them.
-Limited options. Sometimes I got laid because I was the best option. I consider myself above average, but I barely had to try some nights.
-Abundance. It was very easy to fall into an abundance mindset when moving locations every two days. If she didn’t like me, oh well. I was never going to see her again anyway.
-Most importantly, the overall vibe and atmosphere is centered around people being open to meeting other travelers. And I found this to be true of most women. It’s very easy to just share your related travel experiences and go from there. It was not like a bar my hometown where everyone goes with their friends and drinks in cliques until leaving. People generally have a desire to meet others. I met some great guy friends as well.
The only downside is that it’s hard to close when staying in a room with 8 other people. I usually opted for smaller dorms or took girls outside somewhere, which isn’t always ideal, but still fun as hell. Traveling gave me the setting to actually put what I’ve learned into action. I felt more extroverted than I ever had in my life. I highly recommend it for the experience alone. The sex was just a nice bonus.
