You should keep eye contact till she looks away. After that just approach with a confident smile and start talking. Be confident! It's not that hard, it's all in your mind.

Stop looking to other people for answers. It doesn't matter how you approach, you've never done it before so you have no point of comparison except what you've read about, which is irrelevant because the real world is vastly different than the one you have in your head right now and only through going out and seeing the patterns that occur over a larger span of time can you actually develop the skillset. Don't judge your actions, realize it'll all come together organically if you keep approaching. Just build the reference experiences through GOING OUT
