Darts on the wall approach. Just start talking about random shit until something hits. And don't do it obnoxiously, like "DID YOU SEE THE MOVIE?! NO. FUCK. UMM SKYRIM!" But just talk about things that are happening around you, like the weird drink at the bar, the weird guy at the bar and then you can pivot into something universal like why would she want to be a astronaut stripper as a child (doesn't really matter if she does or not) and bam you're talking. Keep throwing darts and one of them will stick and then you won't have to play selfie stick at home.

Hot TV shows, music and movies are pretty obvious. Could also research some of the topics women are typically interested in and careers they choose... child development, medicine, therapy, HR... and develop strong opinions of your own about them that she will either agree or disagree with, leading to conversation. Know about chick crack subjects like personality tests, sensory language, and spooky destiny horoscope shit, which fascinate and also get her revealing further threads to explore.
