You gotta have your shit going on and not always asking her what she's up to, how she's doing. All in all, it's easy to go into a control mindframe when you're long distance. That is unhealthy. Freedom is love. If you want this relationship to work, you should both be free together. Grow separately from each other, that way when you find a time when you can be together, you'll have a chance.

Jeeeeez, I'm in this exact situation right now (hah! are you him?). We confessed that if we lived closer we'd already have asked each other out on dates. Send super long texts every day, but it's more friendly than flirty. Honestly, it lights up my day to have his name pop up on my phone, and if you've already acknowledged attraction for each other, it may be easier to keep it up because both of you know you're in the game. Keep having contact! Don't forget to throw something cute in there every now and then, besides the actual conversation. We text maybe just twice a day, since the messages are so freaking long.

At the same time, I've got a fwb-type guy that...we're both very attracted to each other physically, but since our conversations are 70% sexting 30% life events, it feels more casual and we only text once about every 4 days, but it becomes full-blown back and forth sexting. Start by figuring out what interests her. That means to ask her. If she can't give you an answer ask the right questions, what did guys in the past do she liked, what kept previous relationships alive, etc.

Keep Messaging everyday, call weekly, if her interests peaks on any day call and talk for hour. I would say getting close is better than distance relationship. If she loves you truly, distance doesn't matters, although there's time limit. This generation girls need a bf who is very close to be with them. Don't expect to be apart for an year long.
