Let me preface this post by saying that everyone has their own, unique skill set. Some things come easier to person A than person B, etc. It's all about the hand you've been dealt (luck based). That said, please don't take my post as bragging about certain things that I've accomplished. I realize that for many people it would be hard to have gotten to the place where I am (and vice versa, again random luck skill set).
I have a problem where I'm chronically modest about most of my accomplishments. I didn't gain confidence from most of my accomplishments, since it didn't seem as though I had to work very hard to get to where I am. Specific examples include obtaining a doctorate, having a 100k+ salary, owning my own home, owning an 85k car, being above average in the looks department (I know I'm a 7-8, and would be higher if I wasn't 5'8), and being skilled on a state/national level when it comes to certain things (mainly thought projects, chess, basically anything that involves solving and taking advantage of a system). I've also survived multiple near death experiences without any major damage (for example, I was hit directly by a Ford F-150 (as a pedestrian) and suffered just a couple of scratches).
There are things that I did gain confidence from, such as hitting the gym religiously, losing a massive amount of weight, and completing a years worth workouts (I hate to workout). This gives me confidence as it did not come easily.
So how do I gain confidence through all of my other achievements? I realize that most of these things are hard to obtain, but I didn't have to work very hard to get them. How can I reverse my thought pattern? How can I use these accomplishments to my advantage (such as having money)?
Women love a confident man. And on the surface, I have a lot of things to be confident about, but I am not. How do I change this? I'd really appreciate any suggestions. And I REALLY don't mean to come off as a dick here. I'm sure that there are others in a similar situation.
