Most girls these days especially high school/college/uni type (whichever one you are a part of) do prefer to communicate through snapchat over everything else, that's where most of their attention is going to be found. I do agree that she went out of her way to add you on snapchat most likely because she's showing some interest in you that a number won't suffice. The fact that she provided an excuse for doing it is an interesting point. However, there are also girls who use snapchat to turn guys into fans and keep them at bay solely to get views for their stories (validation). Similar to how some girls use Tinder, for validation or an audience. Fortunately, that is a very isolated portion of girls that are easy to spot and I really don't think you are dealing with that type. Good luck!
