How do yall open at a bookstore?

Just take a quick note of whatever they’re reading and leave a comment. It’s totally cool to comment on the book if it catches your eye, even if you don’t know what it’s about. For instance, I saw a girl today pick up a book called ‘Five Love Languages’ (no joke!). I know about it but haven’t read it myself, so that’s how I started chatting. Basically, I said, ‘Have you read that one? I’ve been wanting to read it.’ It was like a friendly introduction to the book. This gave her the chance to explain what she knew about the book and why she was looking at it. I then suggested ‘Green’s Men are from Mars, Women are From Venus’ to her, which I’ve read and can explain to her. We had a good rapport, but I didn’t get her number. She mentioned having a boyfriend, but I’m not sure if that was true or not. Either way, the vibe was great. We shared a few laughs and had a nice conversation. That’s usually how I do it - just comment on the book, whether you like it, don’t like it, or don’t know about it, but have been meaning to read it. It’s a chill approach and it’s cool because you have a shared subject to discuss and learn potentially what you two are into or value and if there’s rapport.
