Sometimes you just gotta rip off the bandaid. Be honest about why you're breaking up but be gentle about it. It'll make you fell better that you did the right thing rather than lying. And she may hate you but later on she'll respect you for it.

Edit: whatever you do, don't go back to her after breaking up. As she and you will lose respect for yourself.

Just get it done without showing disrespect, make it clear it's not a selfish decision and it's for the good of both of you. If she is a mature adult she won't hate u, she don't have to, women are masterminds of moving on instantly, you gave her the ticket to do what/who she wants.

Be as kind as possible. The other party is gonna be hurt. There's no way around it. It's best just to get it over with. When the swelling goes down, things will be fine.

This is fragile territory to navigate, as no one loves to be rejected or broken up with. No amount of reasoning will compute to the brokee, unless it’s a situation where you both are fed up with each other and can’t reconcile. Then you as adults should be able to sever ties with each other. I’ve been through my fair share of break ups and trust me it’s better to just get it over and done. And don’t go back!!!!! It will never be the same and you never know if the person will have still held on to a grudge because you needed a break. So if that’s where you are with that person, then let go and move on at the best of your ability.
