How do you get somebody to stop and talk when you're walking in opposite directions?

There's a few subtle tricks when a girl is on her way somewhere

Say something as soon as you make eye contact
Ideally say something when you're 3-4 steps away (so it's awkward for her to walk by you without saying anything)
Have full belief that you can stop her

Many times guys will not have 100% belief that the girl will stop, and she just flies right by them. You need to fully commit and fully believe the girl will stop

A trick that I sometimes use is when I make eye contact and maybe say a hello, if she keeps walking a turn around and say "hey I think there's a bug on your back" usually this gets them to stop and ask "where is it?" or she might even ask you to get it off her. You can use this as a chance to even do some light kino. This usually works outside when you know she has been walking under trees.
