How do you remain authentic when a girl asks you about picking up other girls?

Now she's gone silent.

It's not always bad when a girl goes silent. She may not know how to respond to that statement. Or she may need to do some "thinking" about you. I bet if you called her and invited her somewhere she would say yes.

Here's the thing: girls are attracted to guys that can get girls and have girls that like them. They just don't want "dogs" - i.e., guys that will fuck anything. They also don't want to feel used or like they are just another "notch" on your bedpost.

Its a fine line. Girls can like knowing that you're a catch - a little feeling of competition and being able to compete or beat the competition makes things interesting. But right now whats going on in her head is...how many girls does he pick up in stores? Am I just another number in a string of nameless females? Every girl wants to feel special and like you selected her because she really stood out and is better than other girls...not be made to feel like you have low standards and try your luck with as many as possible.

My response would have been "Haha, it's adorable that you think my standards are high enough for most of Walmarts patrons. But when I see one like you who can look good AND appreciate value, how do I say no?"

You've left her with a question which, although stupid, demands an answer because you're forcing her to validate herself (Because you've said your expected standards of Walmart shoppers is low). It's also the truth but it doesn't take the attention off of her.
