How do you talk/avoid talking about your appearance? Especially when she wants to get you to admit that you are good looking?

I embrace it. Perhaps this is me being narcissistic, but as long as you don't go over the top with it (or you at least add a sarcastic tone when you say it), girls can appreciate a guy who's confident enough to call himself attractive.

Physical appearance is a part of attraction. It certainly isn't the most important part, but it is a factor. Acknowledging the physical attraction in both parties (by calling her attractive, or yourself attractive) is a sign of confidence. Again, as long as it isn't overt.

If you really want to avoid the topic altogether, just redirect the conversation to her, "wait, let's talk about how cute you are. You're not going to start blushing on me if I call you cute, right?" etc. etc.
