I'm on my mobile so this will be short: Fashion definitely plays a part. It shows you are socially aware of what is in style and evokes a level of social intelligence. I'm not saying you have to dress unlike yourself, but rather dress yourself but to the highest degree. No need to sacrifice your identity. Look around online if you don't know, or PM me, but don't look like a slob. No reason you can't be trendy too.

Style is VERY important. Im not saying you have to subscribe to GQ magazine, but you have to find a style you're comfortable with and OWN it! And follow the most important rule: neat and clean!

To some extent, yes. Its a good idea to improve your style but never go past your own comfort level. Check out /r/mfa for the latest trends and choose shit you like.

An important tip I learned is to never shop for clothes alone. I went over the top after reading fashion blogs and made a fool of myself. Its always good to get instant feedback before you buy.

If you want to date stylish/trendy girls then gym clothes and work clothes wont do.

A year ago I started to dress better and more fashionable. Half a year ago I got a sweet haircut and started to keep my beard in well trimmed. It made seducing alot easier. Some women have hooked up with me solely based on the way I dress and and the way I smell from my Cologne- in most of these situations- I barely did ANY seduction. Am not a "hot catch", but I make sure my clothes help me out- a fitted shirt with the right pant size + shoes will take you further than you know.

I'm taking it easy and haven't really tried to get anywhere with women since my previous relationship last year. However, I just recently started dressing nice again when I go out and I definitely pull in a lot more looks than I did before. I even get compliments. I went into work (where I usually have to wear a poorly fitted tee and jeans) to grab a drink while I was dressed nicely and I got compliments from all of the girls I work with.

Style can compliment and enhance your game/image. It is the book cover of your book titled "Your Personality & Values". It's a tool you can use to visually communicates who you are to other people—also known as peacocking. From my experience, there are two methods that I'm aware of to utilizing style in your game.

You can:

1. Amplify

You can work with your existing style/image and amplify it through your personality. For example, in high school, I had a friend who was a sponsored surfer/skater, and played in a bunch of bands. He embodied everything about the local surf/skate culture and local punk scene. His image was also enhanced by his pleasant carefree laid-back personality. He belonged to a particular demographic and thrived gaming surfer/beach chicks and scene girls. I believe this was so because his image/style was congruent with his personality and the girls he was with knew what they were buying into.

2. Contradict

This is something that I myself personally use. Prior to learning about pickup and style, I was your average suburban kid who liked to play video games and whatnot. Generally speaking I had no image. Seven years ago, you wouldn't have been able to pick me out of a crowd.

Over the years, I have worked on developing my own style and have grown to love the workwear/classic Americana style with a slim modern fit. I also changed my hair along the way from spiky Asian anime style hair to a slick-backed pomade pompadour inspired hairstyle.

The difference is I totally do not live that bad-ass, blue collar, tuff working lifestyle—I'm actually a tech industry designer living in a big city. I may not life the traditional workwear/Americana life, but I do enjoy the aesthetics of handcrafted made in the USA goods.

This works really well for me in the northwest. The people I meet are—more often than not— pleasantly surprised to find out I'm not an actual rockabilly/lumberjack and that I'm into into different types of music besides classic rock, or learn that I enjoy playing some D&D, and compete locally in the fighting game scene.

The whole point of this method is to be a juicy contradiction.

Your Sticking Point

I forgot where I read this or who wrote it, but it went something like this:

Woman enjoy being with someone from the same tribe who shares similar values. At the same time, they also fantasizes about being with someone from a different tribe to experience something new and exciting.

Right now, it seems like you don't have a particular image or sense of style—especially if you go out and game in your work and gym clothes. That won't help you since you're probably looking like everyone else in your workplace/gym. You need to find a style or create image that resonates with you and run with it. Having an image or a sense of style can't do anything but help improve your game.

Grooming is important; style really isn't IMO. If anything, I've known a lot of girls who will dock "points" for a guy who dresses too well/cares too much about style or appearance. My experience is limited to American girls (mostly), but a lot of the girls I've talked to say its a turn off for a guy to be fashionable.

It's not that important. Being put together gets you a few more looks and can give a better first impression, but your follow through is so much more powerfulkit doesn't really matter. It's actually solid practice going out looking scrubby because you get used to bursting past initial judgment; it also demonstrates just how useless looks are when you're in the zone. It doesn't even get you fewer girls calling you a psycho killer when pulling. It's not your clothes it's your game.
