If there is any evidence of a girl checking you out, however small, go up to her and say.

"Listen I saw you checking me out just there. Its cool, I don't mind but instead of objectifying me you could just come up to me and say hello."

Read through some of the sidebar stuff. The main thing is you don't need to wait for an obvious indicator, just go find out if she's interested.

You may be given very obvious signals sometimes (holding eye contact or a smile), but if you wait for just this before you make a move, you'll be missing out on alot of girls who would otherwise love to meet you.

As a girl, I agree with the general sentiment here: there is no need to wait for obvious signs of interest. I've noticed that when I give signs, even when I feel like they are extremely obvious, they tend to go unnoticed by guys. What felt like obvious signs to me are usually only subtle cues, mostly glances. Assume attraction!
