Get their attention somehow, usually I tap their shoulder. She will turn around. Introduce yourself real quick, "hi I'm SeductiveComrade" and put your hand out for a small handshake. Most likely she will say hi back and give you her name. If she doesn't respond with her name, ask for it. Get a quick bond going. From there you can ask to dance or talk. However your game is.

If you prefer not to speak during the beginning bc verbal game is hard you can just look back at her for starters and turn/dance towards her a bit. If she too turns to you you can dance a bit with her maybe pull her in a bit to talk closer to her ear, the loud music gives you a good a excuse to get close/touch her. Now that you're already dancing/close the talking should be easier. That should get you going.

If she doesn't invite you after you looked back she may be shy or a bit embaressed that you caught her looking you may have to start an innocent convo first. Ask for a lighter or if she knows who's playing next and try to go from there. Again the loud music is a good excuse to get closer.

Maybe she wants to put up a bigger hurdle for you to overcome (like a shit test) and won't invite you or look back. Then be brave and walk up to her and introduce yourself. That's fucking hard but I've seen it work like a charm on men a lot braver than me ;)

Also try not to hit her when the bass drops.

I'm terrible at most of this, but....

Make it obvious you're there, without imposing yourself. Normally when it's tight there's some contact anyway with everyone, women and men.

If you're standing behind her, see if she's open to a bit of grinding.

Though for me, then if anything makes the 'introduction' more awkward... "Hi, I'm the bloke who's dick you've been rubbing your arse on..."

Watching someone else, last weekend (at a DnB event as it goes :) ), he was initially dancing with one hand diagonally forward past her head so that it was obvious where he was. (She was totally up for it anyway and was initiating with him I should note.)

Asking if she knows who the current DJ is or who's next on, a comment about her clothing. Those I can just about manage sometimes, but definitely not brave enough to say "Hi, I'm geeered" or normally to manage to carry conversation on too much more. If you both seem to be loving the music, comment on that maybe.

Offering some water after you've had some (but do appreciate that people may be rightfully cautious).

I've been meaning to make some kind of mild 'peacocking' element to give girls an easier chance to talk to me if they want to.
