It has happened a couple of times to me lately: basically a girl seems really interested, we organise a meeting and she flakes. I freeze-out for a couple of days, she reinitiates the conversation on text mentioning the intent of meeting.

The last example that is driving me crazy and made me post this, goes somewhat like this:

HER: So, when are we meeting? Soon, please! ME: Let's meet then and there. HER: Great sounds good!

Then she flakes.

HER: Missing you! ME: When should we fix that? HER: We should fix that very soon! ME: I believe it's your turn to propose something now. HER: You are right! I will work on it.

Some days pass and she sends me her schedule for next week. No proposals, but I guess that's the man's job. So I say:

ME: I am going to be in X city that day, I have to do a friend a favour there, do you want to join? HER: Sounds great! I'm on it!

That day she doesn't show up or even text. Few days later she opens me with this text:

HER: Hey you! You know that you are so very nice to look at, right?

I was tempted to answer this text by telling her something along the lines of: “I wonder why you prefer to look at me on pictures over real life! ;)” but thought this might telegraph that I cared about her flakes too much.
