Hey folks, long time lurker here, i think i dont even follow the sub, but i need your help ! :)

There is this girl, we met at work and we were messing around online for a year. I would have asked her out a lot sooner, but the lockdowns and some other stuff in my life delayed the plan. Here we are back in the office and i asked her out - she said no in a very polite way and i ignored her wording and focus on the "yes" and "no" part of the answer.

7 Days later and we do not talk to each other anymore , she even restricted her stories for me. I never pushed for anything or got into her personal space in any way so it is mind blowing to me and if things go to plan i will be her boss next month :/

Anyone can provide perspective on the events ? Basically i havent done anything wrong and things get worse. Since this is my work place i really want to make things "normal".
