When I want to approach someone, I get a huge surge of adrenaline that's overwhelming. I've done a few approaches, and they were all very intense. Every time I'm about to, my adrenaline spikes. My voice gets shakey. I almost start to shake, and although I can keep it together (barely), I know that showing that discomfort makes THEM uncomfortable.
I've always seemed to be wired like this. My voice shakes easily, my face goes bright red WAY too easily. The same thingcan also happen if I'm pissed off for any particular reason, like if I'm out with a girl and someone disrespects her. I often have to choose not to react, because to do otherwise would show how upset I am.
I don't think this means I have a bunch of hidden rage. I think it's just that my fight or flight response is way over-reactive.
I'm interested in hearing if you faced similar challenges. Has anyone beaten a drastic adrenaline response like the one I've described?
BTW, I'm in my early 30s, so it's not like it's a teenage thing.
