Well, the first thing to remember is not to put pressure on yourself to get laid at parties. Doing so means you're more likely to get upset with yourself if you don't score.

The second thing you need to do is get comfortable talking to people, male and female. When you arrive at the next party, make the effort to talk to as many people as possible. Make eye contact and smile, introduce yourself, ask them questions. The focus here is learning to be social and improve your conversation skills, something that is very important for flirting.

As for actually picking up girls. Go up and talk to them without any investment in the outcome, focus on getting to know them, and after you've got comfortable in each other's company, start escalating sexually.

Escalation happens in lots of little steps that build up to a kiss. No two interactions are the same, but here's a basic example of how it might work. Stage I: So if you're enjoying a conversation with a girl and you want to start escalating physically you might say 'I love you_____, let's get married." and then hug her. If she's responds positively by laughing or whatever, that means you can step it up a little bit. Stage II: While you're talking, put your hands on her hips, and move in a little closer, keeping eye contact. If her body-language is positive (e.g, she wraps her arms on your neck, she locks eye contact with you, she smiles and flicks her hair etc.) then you're probably good to go for the kiss. Stage III: A good final test is to gently place your palm on her cheek, if she doesn't pull away or give you other negative signals, you're almost certainly good to go for the kiss. Other points to consider: Never ask a girl if it is "okay" to kiss her or do any of the thing listed above -- it's a serious turn-off. Read the girl's body language to find out if she's interested. Is she Moving closer or further away? Making eye-contact or avoiding eye contact? Remember that male and female sexuality are different: Guys are ready for sex pretty much at the drop of a hat, whereas women get turned on much more slowly, so the key is to be patient; you might have to go back and forth through these stages a few times in any interaction before the girl is comfortable enough to kiss you. Step 1 - Be the prize. Seduction is about getting laid, but ironically, thinking about getting laid all the time does not get you laid. Being a stud who works on his physical appearance, health, career, education, and hobbies gets you laid. Remember, you're not chasing a prize, you are the prize. If you don't feel like a prize, it's probably because you haven't been acting like one. Start chasing your dreams and being the best you that you can be. Then you'll feel like a prize.

Step 2 - Don't be needy. You aren't going to this party to get laid. If you are, the girls will smell the neediness on you like a squirt of axe body spray. Don't be the wimpy boy asking every girl for her number after 5 minutes of talking. Don't be the creep trying to grind on girls, kiss their necks, or follow them as they drunkenly stumble home. YOU'RE NOT GOING TO THIS PARTY TO GET LAID! You're going to have fun. (:

Step 3 - Open
If you are gonna get laid, you're gonna have to talk to girls. But don't just talk to girls, talk to everyone! As soon as you walk into the party, don't go stand in a corner with your friends. Don't stand at the edge of the dance floor staring at people hoping someone will ask you to dance. Don't hang out in the kitchen by the alcohol with all the other beta males who aren't quite sure what to do with themselves. Go in, grab a beer, and approach the first mixed set you see (multiple guys and girls in a group). Go up, say, "hi nice shirt bro where'd you get it? Cool cool, I'll have to check that place out. How do you guys know the host? Blah blah blah, boblawblaw." Congrats, you've made acquaintances! Do this all night. Move on to sets with only girls, guys, the party hosts, mix it up. Don't stick with one group all night though. Do this until you sense some interest from a girl.

Step 4 - Detect and capitalize on interest.
So you're noticing IOIs now (indicators of interest). These are constant eye contact, laughing, smiling, twirling hair, touching you, following you, complimenting you, paying a lot of attention to you, etc. Now you capitalize. Subtly shift your conversation away from the group and towards her. Isolate her. That means, ask her to follow you to get another drink. Ask her to play beer pong. Ask her to dance. Just get her talking to you one on one (not creepily, duh).

Step 5 - Escalate
So you have her talking to you one on one? Now you have to escalate physically. This is a subtle process. Make sure you're still getting IOIs. Then do something light. Brush shoulders with her during beer pong. High five her when she makes a good shot or says something cool or impressive. Touch/grab her arms when she says something hilarious or crazy. Teach her a handshake. Play a game where your hands have to touch. Hold her hand, then hold her waist. If you can make it his far, you're probably ready to kiss. Don't make out all night though. Don't follow her around. Don't be needy. Kiss, and talk, kiss, and talk, say hi to friends, kiss, and talk. You want to build rapport as well as attraction without being needy (abandoning your friends or new acquaintances to only be with her is needy). If she at any point looks uncomfortable or pulls back from your physicality, take two steps back (metaphorically). You can try to build up again. If she pulls back again, I'd probably next her. Not in a rude way, just say, "hey I'm gonna catch up with some friends but I'll catch you in a little bit." Keep doors open, but don't be afraid to walk away. You can also grab her number at any point here. Just don't ask for it randomly though. Ask for it when time is an issue and you're about to leave.

Remember to have fun. It's okay to leave without a number or a kiss. Play some beer pong, dance, make new friends, get to know the hosts so you'll get invited back. If you're focusing on having a great time and connecting with people, things tend to fall into place. Good luck man!

Dress for success. Cargo shorts and sandals are not party gear. If you're average looking, get a proper haircut, moisturize, accessorize. Get new glasses. I'm not saying to do the moronic Mystery Peacocking, but make sure you look like you were planning to go to a party. How does everybody else dress, dress differently, so you stand out. Nothing is worse than a sea of guys in polo shirts with sunglasses parked on the top of their head, you will get lost and forgotten if you blend in to social camouflage like that.
