I love my friends. I always go out with them. However, whenever we have a chance to meet some girls, most of my friends are very fast to say that they like her or etc - do not leave a chance for me.

You and your friends are missing a point. Here's a metaphor.

This is like two salesmen arguing over who gets to pitch their unknown (and different) products to you while you're walking on the street. It doesn't matter what they decide amongst themselves.

They could decide that only one guy approaches you to pitch their product and you might not even want what they have. Meanwhile, what? The other guy is just going to give up, even though you might want what he has?

Similarly, when doing with girls, you are dealing with a person who makes their own decisions. You and your friends don't make them for her. So all this calling dibs bullshit, is pointless and childish. Just all go talk to her and see what happens.

Also, I respect my friends so I will not do anything even though it's pretty obvious the girls might be interested in me over them sometimes.

No. You're disrespecting yourself and your friends are too, if they would make such a claim on a girl just to spite their friend.

You want some magical answer where you get to keep your "friends" and somehow keep the status quo of them acting like immature children, while only you change. There is no such answer.

If they can't put aside such ridiculous claims and tactics, then don't go out with them in social situations, ever. Or dump them. Real friends will elevate and support you. Real friends would wingman you, not pull this kind of crap.

I'm lucky enough where all my friends are engaged so this doesn't really apply to me haha, but from my past experiences; if they are true friends, they won't let their pride get in the way of your own success and happiness. You need to just stand up for yourself and voice that you're interested too and if they aren't willing to give you a fair go, they aren't really good friends now, are they? Don't be the omega of your wolf pack, my friend. You have your own wants and needs too and they should be supportive and respectful of that if you tell them how you really feel.

You and your friends don't choose the girl. The girl chooses. Usually most guys who act like this just can't handle rejection or a friend who gets more pussy. If someone's gonna claim a girl, the only way they can do that is by talking to her first.
