First field report so bear with me. So about a month ago I (21 M) flew out to California to visit a couple of my bros from high school. It was a 2 hour flight and I flew alone.

I board the flight and find my seat number and there’s a solid 7.5 (20 F) sitting in the seat next to mine. I take my seat and break the ice. She was friendly and we made small talk for about 5 min before the plane took off.

The plane took off and the next hour and a half was quiet because I didn’t know what to say without showing to much intent. Towards the last 10 min of the flight I started up a convo, found out she was gonna be in the same area I was going to and ended up getting her snap.

I messaged her a few hours later to see if she wanted to come out to a bar and she never replied. I think the problem was the entire interaction was way too friendly, because I didn’t know how to display intent in a situation where there’s no where to go if you get rejected.

Any advice on how I could’ve played it?
