It's true. I'm really not a smelly guy by any means, and I thank the olfactory gods every day for that fact.

On an average day, I am completely odorless. After a rigorous afternoon of working out? A bit grimy and sweaty, sure, but I smell fresh as ever. Unless I've been dunked in a pool of something that is, in fact, smelly, I generally smell like...well, me.

I've confirmed this with several of my friends, and they say that while each person has their own signature smell, I don't get any B.O., and they simply smell "me" when they sniff any part of me after a workout or something of the sort.

This post isn't just for bragging, though; I have a serious question.

Because of my inherently unsmelly disposition, for a long while, I never used deodorant of any kind. I never got any comments on it from anybody, but I eventually started to feel self-conscious; everybody else smelled, so I must've been delusional if I thought I didn't, too. I found out that antiperspirant actually prevents one from sweating (who'd have thunk it?), so I figured I'd at least be solving one problem.

I continued wearing this stuff until the topic of my odor (or lack thereof) came up with my best friend (who's a wonderful natural, but that's beside the point completely). See, he's really not a fan of fragrances of any kind, on men or women. I asked him if he thought I should wear deodorant if I never really smelled, and he said that smelling like nothing in particular is much more impressive to women than smelling like deodorant, and that it might even work against me since my natural body odors aren't "balancing it out."

I'm personally greatly affected by some fragrances, so I'm not sure what to think.

What're your opinions?
