I have a had a few instances over the last year where the first date went well, but I seem to overthink when it comes to setting up the second date. I have the mentality to strike while it's hot, but women do not always want to move so fast.

For example:

I recently had a great first date on a Thursday night

All good signs:

-She agreed to go to a second location with me (instead of going home)

-Light kiss, affection

-Body language

-Agreed verbally to a second date ( basically meaningless but still)

I will text the next day to try and set up a date quickly. I asked to see her Sunday, and her response was "We can meet again this week :)". Seems fine, but I feel like today with so many options from OLD, too much time can kill momentum.

Do you guys care how fast the second date comes? Is more time better? Or do you believe the sooner the better?

I also hate dates for during the week as usually it is less fun, less drinking. I want someone when they don't have obligations the next day.
