Understand this, you're not the first foreigner to visit Bangkok. While it's an awesome city with awesome food, sights, and entertainment; you're a walking dollar sign to the Thai people there.

The areas outside of the tourist destinations may be different, but the city, including every woman there, knows how to get money out of foreigners. Women who show interest in you may very will, in fact, probably do have ulterior motives.

Foreigners being hit with surprise bills from women in the morning is nothing new. As well as their methods for ensuring collection. Don't get scammed; nothing is free in Bangkok.
