At first I thought I was just bad a talking to girls, but then I realized that I am a bad conversationalist in general, as I often run out of things to talk about even with my close friends. I started searching this reddit and found some interesting links: link on threading and similar. While I agree with these posts (and I plan on practicing them), I realized that I am bad at picking the right things to say (for threading). For example (from the threading post),
Woman: “I love going to the Paris. It’s so romantic”
You: “Paris is my favourite city. I love the laid-back nature of the people”
Or
You: “Yeah as soon as you arrive in the city you can feel the romantic energy”
Or
You: “What is it about Paris that you especially love?”
How do I know which one to pick and to keep talking about? Also, usually when I do say something, what I say isn't usually very interesting (I'll probably say something like, Oh I've never been there before, and the conversation dies shortly after). What can I do about this? Thanks!
