I'm a 19M and I went to a nightclub with my friends yesterday. One thing that I have been struggling with and determined to do yesterday was approaching girls on the dance floor and around the bar.
I know the basics of game. Expect nothing. Self validate and self amuse. But all of this knowledge seems so distant when you are actually confronted with the real situation.
So mid-way through the night I told myself "fuck it" and I approached random girls and random groups.
I would walk in confident and start talking with them. The vast majority of the approaches either ended up with them blowing me out or walking away with their friends. A few approaches went well and I interacted with the girls well.
All in all, I am just very happy and proud of myself that I took action and kept to my word. I have gained valuable reference experience.
One question I have though is how to not come across as a creep? There were a few occasions where I would open a group of girls, try and try and talk to them but they would give me 'strange' looks and walk away from me. I'm not a socially awkward person. Quite the opposite. I often felt as though everyone was looking at me as though I was that 'weird, thirsty pick up guy' including the bouncers. As though I was 'molesting' the girls.
This is mostly where my anxiety for approaching stems from. This feeling of coming across as a creep or a 'molester'.
Do I simply just have a bad mindset or is there more to this?
