I am a Daygame (daytime cold approach) coach, but I’ll give you a reasonable analysis on whether you should or shouldn’t hire a coach because some people don’t need it.

Don’t hire a coach if:

You are a disciplined person who can keep himself accountable on a very consistent basis. You approach women alone on a consistent basis every week to flirt with them.
You have the right online resources to learn how to actually pick up girls, get them excited about you, and emotionally invested in you and can actually be self-critical with a lot of attention to detail. If you are the type of guy who thinks ”i did everything right, and got no results”, or “I have no clue what i am doing wrong, someone give me ideas” you lack self-criticism and maybe it’s better to get a coach. But if you are the guy who analyses every word, every body language gesture, and can easily recognize patterns of behaviour, then you are far more likely to find your mistakes and thus won’t need a coach.
You have financial and time constraints. Let’s face it, a good coach that actually can help you get results isn’t cheap. If you don’t have the money or the time for fixing your dating life, and struglle to pay the basic bills, like rent and food, or if you are the type of guy who thinks a lot before buying a cheap 20 dollar book, then you probably shouldn’t even be making girls your priority at all. You probably should not even be in reddit.

You should hire a coach if:

You want/need the pressure to actually approach women. The fact that it costs money and isn’t cheap will force you to do the tasks that your coach gives you because you won’t want to have the feeling that you throw your money away. It’s basically the strategy some people use of “If i don’t approach 5 women today and tell them i find them attractive, i’ll burn 500$, a hundred for each woman”. The problem is a lot of guys can’t really bring themsleves to burn their money or approach so they need to actually pay someone in order to commit to either acting or facing consequences of guilt and regret for not doing your part.
You need tailored step by step path: A dating coach will help you develop a personalized dating step by step strategy that addresses your specific needs and weaknesses. They take into account your unique situation, preferences, obstacles, limitations and goals, offering tailored advice that general dating tips you see online may lack or help you assimilate dating advice that you don’t fully udnerstand how to apply in real life.
You need someone to keep you accountable. Coaches provide a supportive and safe environment to discuss your dating life without feeling judged or looked down to. They won’t reprimand you for having a different moral code than theirs. They offer encouragement and hold you accountable, helping you stay motivated and on track with your dating goals.
Specialized techniques. Not all advice on the internet is of equal merit, validity or quality. Some advice is just bad. It’s hard to know what actually works or what doesn’t, but a coach has been there done that, and help many others to find what works and what doesn’t with real life experience, and not just theoretical.
You learn by imitation from coaches. Some of us can show you how they approach themsleves and be your wing as long as you are in the same city as them to be able to approach together. Long distance coaching doesn’t have this however, but as long as the coach can teach you effectively and keep you accountable, you can go out alone and do the tasks that your coached gave you.
You need self-confidence practical exercises to overcome your fear, insecurities, anxieties. The coach will force you to approach if he is your wing, even dragging you by the arm if necessary or opening the conversation for you in extreme cases introducing you to the girl in person, which is good to at least practice.
You need someone to teach you how to deal with rejections in practice and not just in theory, someone who understands that there are wost things that can happen than her saying “no”, someone who understands your fear of what other people may be thinking and knows how to overcome that. Someone who understands your fear to be known as the creepy/annoying/wierd guy to make sure you get rid of that fear once and for all.
