So I've been talking to this girl I liked for a while now, and asked her out a week and a half ago, to go out last Saturday. She said something came up and we just rescheduled to yesterday. Thought nothing of it. But yesterday came, and she seemed excited all week, but said she got called into work, but said we should do something after she got out. I said yeah definitely, and she just started ignoring anything I sent since then. I only texted her twice since then, 3 hours later to see if she got my last text because my phone fucks up every now and then, and then 5 hours later than that asking if she knew if she was getting out of work soon. I then look on facebook about an hour later and notice she posted a photo of herself at home around the time I last texted her, talking about how she was staying in for the night. What could even cause such a sudden turn around, it's really bugging me. I'm more angry than anything for being led on for so long, because I really liked this girl, and now I lost any respect I had for her. Any suggestions to avoid this sort of thing in the future? Sorry for the long post.

TLDR: Girl seemed really interested but suddenly stopped talking to me about 2 hours before we were supposed to go out.
