Last night a girl I know from class agreed to get coffee with me for a FIRST DATE. I already said something like "cool, I can pick you up and we will go get coffee" or something like that. We mutually agreed on the plan but I'm wondering if the day before I should ask if she needs a ride rather than just saying "I can pick you up".

I'm not intending to "get laid" or anything like that. It's a harmless first date so we can talk and get to know each other, I want to make that clear.

So should I ask if she needs a ride or still tell her I can pick her up?
