I thought I'd share, because I'm chuckling to myself over this.

I have an AFC friend who, to his credit, is friendzoned by some incredibly, incredibly attractive women. He's the ultimate nice guy fo just about every girl, and he gets none of them. Whatever, he is resistant to my advice when I give it. But I keep around him and go out with him because the girls who FZ him are often high quality.

But this Sunday, he tells me that he's inviting me out with a girl he is trying to get with and all her work friends. Perfect, I think. Easy opener, easy to be socially dominant in the situation, bingo. Except the girls flake. Using predicatble lines: "uhh, I don't even think were going out tonight."

He tells me that he sends 3 or 4 more texts, and they never respond. I laugh to myself, cook an awesome asian dinner and watch a cool movie.

Tonight, he tells me he has plans to meet up with an old coworker (HB8.5) and all her friends. Once again, I'm thinking this is looking pretty good. Furthermore, he says that she initiated the idea to go out, so I'm thinking that he can't possibly screw it up.

Until he tells me this:

"I called her three or four times, and sent her a few texts and no response, so I guess they aren't coming out tonight."

Moral of the story? Don't text girls incessantly to confirm plans, and guide your friends if they are about to do the same!
